Case 1
Developing a brand-image evaluation index for annual performance measurement
Background
Company A had been running ongoing PR activities, but lacked an objective indicator to measure how positively those efforts were affecting actual brand image.
In particular, it needed a structured methodology to quantify and evaluate the vague concept of brand awareness so it could be used as an annual KPI.
Solution and outcomes
In collaboration with Company A, a customized brand-image evaluation index was developed covering both news and social media.
The index combined three elements: exposure awareness based on comparative analysis of the company's media exposure and competitor exposure, engagement awareness based on quantified social-media posts and comment reactions, and interest level based on portal search-volume data.
This enabled Company A to track brand-management performance each year with objective numerical indicators.
Beyond a simple numeric score, regular related-keyword analysis also made it possible to understand how brand image was changing qualitatively and to establish a clearer data-based foundation for future PR strategy.
